How to restore my public_html directory?

The public_html directory is where your website’s files are kept.

It is highly recommended to make regular backups of your website.

Thus, if/when you need to restore the public_html directory, you will have a suitable backup from which to restore the directory from.

The other option in such cases is to ask your host for assistance. SiteGround customers can restore their public_html directories and/or any other files/folders by using our server’s backup. The restore can be ordered from your Client Area > Help Menu > View Help Center > Contact Us > SiteGround tools and services > Help with backup restore > I want to restore my site or specific files/emails from my daily backups.

N.B. The restore will not delete any new files created after the backup for your account was created.

More on the SiteGround backups can be found in this article.
